Why Digital Readiness Programs?

Increased digitalization requires investment in digital readiness for countries to remain competitive in the global economy. Digital Readiness encompasses skills, trust, and responsible use of emerging technologies by people for broader socio-economic benefits.  Building digital readiness among people is essential for achieving more inclusive outcomes from the digital economy. Accenture’s report highlights that closing the digital skills gap can add up to $11.5 trillion in GDP in G20 countries by 2028.

Intel is committed to bringing AI everywhere and making AI inclusive by addressing the skills gap for all.

Intel has rolled out the large-scale public-private partnership program, Intel Digital Readiness, with government, academia and industry partners. This shared-value, shared-responsibility program portfolio aims to demystify and democratize emerging technologies for all. These programs are currently being implemented in 29 countries for a diverse non-technical audience, irrespective of their location, gender, and ethnicity.

Towards Achieving RISE 2030 Goals

According to its RISE 2030 goals, Intel is committed to partnering with 30 country governments and 30,000 institutions worldwide to empower 30 million people with skills for current and future jobs by 2030. As of June 2024, Intel has created more than 100 public-private partnerships with 29 country governments, enabled 29000 institutions, and trained more than 7 million people.
