Intel Ireland are delighted to share that the Intel Mini Scientist will return this year.
The Intel Mini Scientist is a dynamic science competition tailored for primary school students in 4th, 5th, and 6th class, and it’s open to all schools throughout Ireland. This competition provides students with a unique opportunity to dive into the world of science and technology by creating projects inspired by the Primary Science Curriculum. Students can explore topics such as Living Things, Energy and Forces, Materials, Environmental Awareness and Care, or any area of personal interest.

Intel Mini Scientist 2024: What You Need to Know
Students are encouraged to work either individually or in teams of up to four members to create their science projects. Each project will be exhibited within their school, accompanied by a project workbook for judges to evaluate. Intel employees will strive to visit several schools to judge and select a winning project to go forward and represent your school at the next stage of the competition. the selected wining projects will be invited to participate in a Grand Final early in 2025 where the overall grand prize will be awarded.
In 2024, the Mini Scientist competition saw over 6,800 students from 100 schools across over 20 counties participate, making it a highlight of the academic year.

Participating schools and students will be eligible for several amazing prizes:

Each participating school will receive a special commemorative plaque.

Every student will receive a gift and a certificate of participation.

The school with the overall Grand Final winning project will receive a €1,000 monetary grant.

Mini Scientist registration is now open.

October 21st – November 29th 2024: School level exhibitions take place.
