Leixlip has been home to Intel's manufacturing operations in Ireland for 35 years. During that time, Intel has developed a close and valued relationship with the communities in North Kildare. The close connections built over the past three decades continue to guide how Intel does business today.

As the Intel campus has evolved and grown, the company has remained passionate about championing environmental excellence, working together with local communities, and conducting business responsibly.

In 2023, Intel officially opened Fab 34, the newest manufacturing facility in Ireland. Fab 34 represents an investment of 17 billion euros and has been designed and constructed with several technologies and innovations to enhance sustainability. The fab and its associated buildings obtained Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design ® (LEED) certification – the internationally recognised stamp of approval from the U.S. Green Building Council.
